She is a great hiking partner, a successful computer science engineer, a lovely person, an animal-enthusiast and the cutest girl in the world.
Work
I am currently living in Lausanne, Switzerland, where I am doing a PhD in communication theory. My topics of interest are information theory and mathematics applied to networking and communications.
Sports
Last year, I have taken part in a popular bicycle race in Zürich (the Züri-Metzgete), however, I will not participate this year. I also do plenty of hiking (in summer) and some swimming. In winter, I also work out in the gym and I ski from time to time.
Music
I play violin in a chamber music group. No concerts, just leisurely playing with other people. I like listening to all kinds of pop music.
Coin collection
Like most people, I like money. In particular, I like the coins of the Swiss confederation. My aim is to possess one piece of every single coin that has been minted in Switzerland since the foundation of the Swiss franc in 1850. However, I am far from reaching that goal, because many of the old coins are rare and very expensive.
